I haven't had any issues with the tyres since so I'm pretty sure it's made a fair bit of difference, you can also touch the heat shield with yourI haven't had any issues with the tyres since so I'm pretty sure it's made a fair bit of difference, you can also touch the heat shield with your hand too which you definitely could not do before.
They also do another similar product that is like a self-adhesive sheet. You stick this to the bodywork and it reflects the heat back. It's specifically for the underside of cars where the exhaust is. I recon that'd be worth looking at for your guards. Probably easier to fit too. More ...
